First we visited the Town's Information center, Staff were excellent and provided all information we needed for our 3 day tour, Places we visited , West and East Macdonald ranges, Anzac Hill / Tower, There are lots of Gauges and natural landscapes are breathtaking,
There are places you can eat, and buy things that you need ,
but make sure to carry sufficient liquor as only 3 days that bottle shops are opened, and limited hours,

It was a nice town that has been effected by covid - not as bustling as it used to be with most shops on Todd Mall closed down but there are efforts underway to revitalise which will be great - fantastic to see all the local art

LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED.
LOCALS ARE GREAT. THE TOWN IS GREAT. VERY RELAXED. JUST AVOID THE WHINGERS RUNNING HOTELS AND ANYONE NOT BORN IN AUSTRALIA. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SCARE AND PUT FEAR INTO VISITORS FOR NO GOOD REASON AND DO NOT EMPLOY ANY AUSTRALIANS.

Visit the Museums and Araleun Cultural Precinct, very friendly informative staff. Sacred women's site is located at the back of the Araleun Centre, and a 300 year old corkwood tree stands in the sculpture garden. Beautiful, affordable, hand crafted items at the Cultural Centre run by volunteers; clothing, hats, cards, ceramics, jewelry, and pottery. The Mega Fauna Centre is excellent. Amazing art can be purchased from galleries and artists on the street. Support local artists directly if you can. Many coffee shops, bars selling good quality coffee and food. Would recommend House of Tallulah and Epilogue..delightful staff and good food/coffee...and alcohol after 3 pm at the latter. Must call in to sample local beer and pizza at The Alice Springs Brewing Company..excellent! Olive Pink Botanical Gardens is a comfortable walk from CBD with a return walk along the Todd River. Stay a couple of days.

The Mega Fauna Centre is a ‘must see’, for adults and children. The Araluen Centre we will see on our return next week. Excellent coffee and food and delightful staff at House of Talula’s. Epilogue Lounge has great coffee, gorgeous staff and delicious Buddy Bowl! Lone Dingo is perfect place to get last minute camping needs. Thrifty car hire centrally located in CBD and also at the airport. Be respectful of the local indigenous people, remember we are on their land and we should feel privileged to experience it in such luxury
Kathy and Karl were wonderful hosts. They fed us when we arrived late enough that everything was closed, and on our return for a second night, let us do our laundry and hang it on the line. Kathy’s breakfasts were delicious and Karl’s gardens were beautiful. We stayed one night, drove north, and came back to stay a second time. It was like coming home!! We enjoyed our conversations, appreciated the help we were given, and loved all the extra touches given to us. Our stay in Alice Springs was made better because we stayed here.
We stayed at the Mercure for a night either side of hiking the Larapinta Trail. The hotel was clean and the room spacious. The staff were generally friendly but seemed to be mainly new employees who still had a lot to learn about the hotel and were quite slow with the check in/check out processes. The food in the restaurant was ok, not spectacular but ok. The hotel is a little out of town but we didn't mind the 10 minute walk.
Look no further, A Good Rest B&B is it. While in Alice, we stayed in 3 different hotel/motels with 4 & 5 star ratings and none compared to the quality, luxury and care of A Good Rest. All the ammenities are fresh, contemporary and exceptionally clean. Surroundings are warm and relaxing and the staff are the most accommodating, selfless hosts you could ever wish for. There is no other place to stay.
We felt safe and secure , the Studio room, although very small, was quiet and comfortable. Free parking was a bonus too. Alice Springs is a very picturesque town with lots to do, places to dine out. We enjoyed The Juicy Rump Restaurant and Bar at Lasseters Casino. Uncles Tavern in the city centre. Be sure to visit Stanley Chasm, easy grade walk to view the rock formations
Good value | good communication | dorm rooms have air-con, cool, not cold (18c), able to sleep comfortably | WiFi is best from kitchen area, might drop further away in dorm rooms | well-stocked, functional kitchen | gated parking | nice break from Uluru heat | other guests were pleasant | grateful for hostel in Alice Springs | stayed three nights, two reservations |
The villa was comfortable and similar to a hotel room with a little kitchen area with fridge and appliances. Good location and we walked into town a few times and it was an easy ~25m walk along the Todd. Staff at reception were friendly and didn’t use any of the other facilities but spotted a few people using the laundry and dryer.
Dated but spacious and comfortable room. Nice pool area, onsite gym. It's a distance to the town centre but this is to your advantage as the Alice Springs town area is unsafe. Use taxis if you don't have your own transport and be very aware of your surroundings.
Very welcoming and hospitable, and lovely to be able to share the living room, dining room, kitchen and garden. Air conditioning was excellent, which is important in Alice Springs summer! Responded to my requests very willingly.
Very friendly Chinese lady staff including housekeeping team, assigned us a quiet room on the top floor as requested; coin laundry onsite; beds clean and super comfy. we had a really good night sleep there.
Location was perfect. The hotel is tired and in need of maintenance. The pool was fantastic. A microwave was supplied on request as well as crockery. We were able to self cater when we chose to do so.
Large comfortable room, nice shower and has number 1 rated Alice Springs restaurant (Tali). We dined here and at the nearby Hilton’ Hanuman and Saltbush restaurants. All were good quality.
