Polignano is a really beautiful , traditional Italian town .
Polignano is a really beautiful , traditional Italian town . The beaches are small and stunning , the sea is sparkling . The old town is small but with very charming lanes and eateries and bars . I would recommend this as a good base for a holiday in Puglia . Surrounding town of monopoli was also wonderful . The walk to San Vito monastery was beautiful!! A really special place !!

We didn't want to stay in Bari, so drove the short distance to this amazing white-washed town with great sunset views over the sea. If I had come at a different time of year, I would have definitely gone to the small, but clean beach. Food and drink were inexpensive (5 euro spritz, 9 euro pizza). We ate at the wrong restaurant - should have listened to our host. We went to Sagitarius restorante which is huge and takes tourist buses, but was close to our accomodation. if you order mussels, make sure to say, "in the bowl" bc i got mussels stuffed with breadcrumbs - not what I was expecting.

Its a lovely area for a respite.
Its a lovely area for a respite. Its also a good base for nearby areas like Monopoli and Ostuni. Everywhere is walkable and beautiful visitas of the ocean. I was there in Winter so a 2 night stay was fine. In summer you might stay longer to utilise neighbouring beaches.

Lovely oceanfront city.
Lovely oceanfront city. The oceanfront is made up mostly of cliffs, some with caves, and an occasional beach. There is a nice beachwalk broken by occasional locations where multistory buildings are positioned right up to the edge. Easy walking. Everything is clean and near. My wife and I are seniors, but never saw anything that caused us to be concerned about safety.
Nearby restaurants we tried were very good.

I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare.
I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare. I found that there's not much to see or do there. Then again, I'm not much of a beach person. I think this is more of a beach destination if that's your thing. I ended up going to nearby Monopoli each day, which is only a five minute train ride away. I much preferred Monopoli - it felt like more of a city with more to see and more going on. Also, the seaside areas of Monopoli are wonderful, as there are long stretches of walking and biking paths right at the level of the sea.

Beautiful, spacious, immaculate suite large enough for a family or 2 couples. Perfectly clean, excellent kitchen facilities, and a very comfortable bedroom with AC that works really well. Lovely decor. Great location close to the old town and coast and beaches while only a minute away from a grocery store and 10 minutes from the train station. Delicious breakfast on terrace. Host is very communicative and flexible about luggage drop off & storage, as well as early check in. An excellent choice for a stay in Polignano a Mare!
The host met us at the provided parking location and took us to the accommodation. She gave us a lot of valuable information. Her communication leading up to our arrival was fantastic. She booked a boat tour for us and also recommended and booked dinner for our first night. The restaurant was great!
The accommodation well exceeded our expectation. The view form our balcony and bedroom looked directly out over Lama Monachile Beach! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Polignano a Mare
Loved the location right on the Adriatic sea , and 3 -4 minute walking distance from the old town and the beach area. We had a fantastic view from our small balcony where we sat out and enjoyed the Adriatic sea and the views of the old city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. elevators were updated, lobby updated and very clean. We had a nice breakfast every morning on rooftop 3rd floor , with beautiful views. The staff always went out of there way to make sure we were happy.
The property is incredibly clean and spacious, and within metres of stunning ocean views, cafes and restaurants. Absolutely amazing location. We were also provided fabulous tips and local recommendations which led to us trying the best gelato of our lives and an incredible dinner experience. Parking was mainly restricted to residents nearby the hotel but we found free parking around a 7-10 minute walk away on the outskirts of the city centre and it was a flat and easy walk with luggage.
I had a lovely little stay at Posea! Davide reached out to me from the hotel shortly after booking and was a wonderful help. He set up a private car for me from the airport, helped me bring up my heavy luggage and gave the best recommendations around Polignano to visit. I can thank him for making my first trip there so smooth. The room was quaint and cozy. I loved my terrace view of the beach and ocean. Right in the heart of the city. I will be back again!!
The apartment is located right in the main strip of Polignano a Mare with quick access to restaurants, beaches and train station. It’s about an 8 minute walk from the station. It is quite a bit bigger than it appears in the photos, with a large balcony. We were able to check in a bit early which we appreciated.
Breakfast is included in the stay at a cafe across the road which was fun and convenient.
The host is pleasant to deal with.
This was a 5 star hotel suite with the added benefit for of having your own kitchen! It truly exceeded all of our expectations with its wonderful ambience and tasteful decor. We had SUCH a great time and Polignano A Mare is truly the best place in Puglia. The host was communicative and professional. Thank you Filippo for your superb hospitality. We’re already dreaming of coming back for Christmas. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Wonderful host, very helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast was amazing! The place was beautiful and had a private open-air area as well. The furniture was of very high quality and very comfortable. The location is great for visiting the beautiful old town and the beach. Great for families! This was the one place out of all the places we stayed in Italy where it was also very easy to park our car.
Great location on the Main Street close to beaches and lots of restaurant options. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Sent advice about where to park for free and allows for early check in! Room was not in the main building but across the street, which was fine. Complimentary water, tea and coffee and Mini bar and fridge in room. Nice to have a small sitting area separate from the bed room.
Big and very clean apartment, lots of natural light from the big windows, rolls at each window, well equipped, quiet location, you have nearby old center, beach, train station, less than 5 min walk, also grocery store, farmacy, gelateria, fish shop, coffe and restaurants on the next street, laundry service near location and very convenient. Good wifi, each room has a smart tv.
The room was incredibly beautiful, with a stone ceiling and typical local decorations, and the balcony was very large, with a dreamy view of the beach. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff at the property were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Polignano a Mare.
The homemade breakfast was amazing. It truly was our best breakfast we had in our 3 weeks in Italy, and we traveled through multiple cities. The family who runs the hotel is fantastic and so kind. Also, the view? You can’t beat it. The sea view room and the rooftop breakfast were the best parts of this, besides the amazing location to the beach!
Good location close to the beach, the train, and the bus. The rooftop patio was really nice to relax on during the cool evening after a hot day.
The staff was so nice and helpful. They live about 10 minutes away so whenever you need something just shoot them a message ahead of time and they’ll come help you out.
The host, the location, the accommodation every thing was more than ok.
Nobody disturbed us for "inopinant checking", right next to the beach with clear and warm waters (but only with rocks).
Close garage nearby (extra charge), good sleeping conditions for 6 people.
Totally recomand it
The location is beautiful and a in very traditional part of the town. There are lots of restaurants nearby and all the attractions are very close by.
The staff are excellent and couldn't do enough to help you. The hotel itself was perfect and very clean.
We would definitely stay again.
The accommodation is part of a bigger "beach club" with a restaurant, bar, pool, and private beach. Free access is part of your stay. The hotel is not very big that was a plus for us. The breakfast was very generous and tasty. Secure private parking is available.
The only very positive thing about there was the cleanliness. In Italy it is a bit hard to find a very clean hotels overall and here was really very clean. Besides from cleanliness was under average I have to say.
There was a little problem at first but the staff was extremely friendly and eager to find a solution which turned out in a great experience!
5 stars to the staff 👏👏🙂
