The area is well suited for a family beach holiday.
The area is well suited for a family beach holiday. To access shopping districts, the best restaurants or nightlife you need to drive 10-30 min and there are frequent traffic jams on the island's small roads. Mullet Bay Beach is nice and not very crowded. Even more gorgeous place for a day on the beach is on Ilet Pinel. It is on the other side of the island but well worth the drive. We also liked Orient Beach but it was a bit more crowded. The best restaurants are in the Simpson's Bay area, but there several nice-looking restaurants in Cupecoy also. The best place for shopping groceries is the large Carrefour supermarket on Union Road. The smaller Carrefours in Cupecoy have more limited selection. There is also a small chinese market on Jordan Drive in Cupecoy but the service was rude and prices high.IlendilFinland
