University Speaking

Inspiring the next generation of global leaders.

Dan and Audrey share lessons on how to position study abroad and international projects to stand out professionally in the marketplace and build a story-filled life. They challenge students and faculty alike to meet the world where it’s at, while preparing them for where it will be.

A keynote or workshop is only to learn, but also to have fun doing it. And when the event is over, to emerge knowing that you were part of something special, something different. Our aim is for students and professors to think back often and reflect on lessons that will, in big ways and small, stay with them forever in their studies, work and in their lives.

Select us as speakers, and we will give you 110% effort. Not only do we entertain, but also act as a catalyst, changing perspectives and the way the audience thinks, feels and most importantly, acts. We will help you achieve the goals you’ve set for your event.

University & Study Abroad Speaking Topics

Each talk below is intended as a 45-60 minute keynote followed by Q&A. We can also adjust these topics for workshops or webinars. Note: All our talks are customized for each university in order to incorporate specific topics and needs relevant to the student body and program.

1. Study Abroad: Meet the Global Workplace Where It’s Headed

The global workplace landscape is evolving quickly. How to rise to meet it? Which professional skills will be valued most? How can students use study abroad to position themselves for today’s job market, the future…and for life?

Drawing from their 15+ years of international experience in over 100 countries, Dan and Audrey take a refreshing look at:

  • Skills in demand in 2020 and beyond, and how they overlap with the “soft” skills honed while studying and engaging abroad.
  • The mindset to make deliberate decisions throughout the study abroad cycle — before, during, after – to make the most of the experience.
  • Choosing a study abroad program that takes students outside their comfort zone — to not only get an “experience of a lifetime,” but also to build meaningful professional and life skills.
  • Storytelling frameworks and vocabulary to position international experience in resumes, interviews and on online platforms.

After this talk, students may never look at study abroad — or any life experience for that matter — quite the same.

  • Topics: Personal Growth, Professional Skill-Building, Inspirational, Immersive Travel Skills, Cross-Cultural Communication, Problem Solving, Overcoming Fears, Empathy.
  • Perfect For: University students and staff, especially those who are planning to study abroad and wish to understand how this international educational experience connects with professional skill building that can be used on the resume to stand out.

2. A Real Life Amazing Race: Around the World in 10+ Years
